With approximately 1,000 APNs representing more than 50 countries, this conference will be the largest international gathering of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) and promises to be the premier event of its kind.

Nurses who work at an advanced level are highly educated and motivated to provide exceptional care for patients and their families in a huge variety of health care settings, covering a wide range of conditions.

This year’s conference, under the theme ‘Advanced practice nursing, an invaluable investment for global health,’ will be held on 9-12 September in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Its packed programme and agenda reflect the widespread expertise of NPs and APNs around the world, and offer a unique opportunity for APNs to engage with peers, share insights, and engage in unparalleled networking opportunities and explore the latest advancements in clinical practice, education, research, and policy.

It will serve as a global platform to highlight the pivotal role APNs play in health care systems worldwide and to foster collaboration and innovation within the profession.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from leading voices in health care, including ICN CEO Howard Catton and World Health Organization Chief Nurse Dr Amelia Latu Afuhaamango Tuipulotu.

Dr Daniela Lehwaldt, Chair of the ICN NP/ANP Network said, “Nearly 25 years after its formal alignment with ICN, the ICN NP/APN Network continues to elevate the impact of APNs globally.

‘Through its dynamic governance and membership, including subgroups, groups, students and alumni, the Network plays a pivotal role in shaping ICN guidelines, advancing research, and disseminating knowledge. Our biennial conference in Aberdeen, Scotland, will unite close to 1,000 NPs, APNs, educators, researchers and policy makers worldwide, to exchange insights and drive forward the latest scientific discoveries.”
