The Australian ICN-Accredited Centre for ICNP Research and Development

The Australian ICN-Accredited Centre for ICNP Research and Development is a collaborative initiative involving leading institutions in the country. Its aim is to advance nursing and midwifery education, shape nursing policy, and drive innovation in digital health, particularly in electronic health records. The institutions involved in this initiative include the Australian Catholic University, Monash Health, and the Australian College of Nursing.

The Centre's main objectives are to use the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP) to support care delivery, research, and evaluation, with the aim of improving the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services. It also serves as an educational hub, providing valuable resources, information, and presentations related to the ICNP, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and best practices in the field.

The Centre, led by Ms. Janette Gogler, is headquartered in Monash Health, Clayton, Victoria, Australia. This location was chosen for its strategic position, which facilitates accessibility and fosters collaboration within the regional healthcare landscape.
