12 May 2019: Happy International Nurses Day!

All around the world, 12 May is the day to celebrate the irreplaceable contribution nursing makes to the world’s health and wellbeing and to commemorate the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

ICN is leading the celebrations with our online International Nurses Day (IND) resources and information, which this year have the theme ‘Nurses: A Voice to Lead, Health for All.’

ICN encourages all nurses to get involved with the celebrations and raise their voices to show colleagues, patients, the public and politicians just how important nursing is for the health of individuals, families and communities.
