WHO has announced that several senior staff will be completing their terms at the end of November, including WHO CNO, Elizabeth Iro. At a recent meeting, ICN President Dr Pamela Cipriano and WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus discussed the importance of nursing leadership across WHO’s work and Dr Cipriano was assured that the position of WHO CNO would remain.

A number of nurses attended COP27, which was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on 6-18 November. ICN monitored COP27 proceedings online to keep up with decisions that were being made there without having to increase its carbon footprint by having staff members travel to the event.
