This interactive educational session, hosted by the International Council of Nurses (ICN), aimed to deepen the understanding and importance of PHC among nursing professionals at all stages of their career from nursing student to global nurse leaders. Through a series of expert-led discussions and collaborative breakout rooms, participants explored the contemporary focus on primary healthcare in global health policy, the significant impact of strong primary healthcare systems, and the crucial role nurses play in these frameworks.
The session covered various topics including the evolution and significance of primary healthcare in the global health agenda, the key messages from the latest Primary Healthcare report from ICN, the emergence and role of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), patient safety and rehabilitation in primary care.
This webinar series provided 1.5 ICNEC credits to all participants for continuing education credits.
