Icelandic Nurses’ Association (INA)
The Icelandic Nurses' Association is a professional and trade organization for nurses with full nursing qualification and registered by the Icelandic Ministry of Health. It has approximately 4700 members, of which 3700 are active. Its purpose is to engage in the advancement of nursing and the professional development, terms of employment and working conditions of nurses.
Its values are Responsibility, Courage and Attainment:
- Responsibility: to utilize knowledge and competence for the benefit of the patient, in accordance with code of ethics, law and regulations.
- Courage: to seek progress and leadership in pursuit of powerful health care services, acceptable wages and health promotion.
