The Swaziland Nursing Association is a professional organization that recruits Nurses in Eswatini. The Union operates for the purposes of influencing Nursing, Health and Social Policy. Improving the professional and socio-economic standards of Nursing and ensuring competence in caring, encourage and enhancing excellence in Nursing practice, Management, Research and Education. It was established in 1968 through the Nurses and Midwife’s Act of Parliament. It was admitted as a member of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) in 1975.
The Organisation is affiliated in a number of Organisations who happen to share same values local and globally. Locally, it is affiliated to the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland (TUCOSWA) and globally, it is affiliated to Public Service International (PSI) and International Council of Nurses (ICN).
