Geneva, Switzerland; 28 June 2021 – The International Council of Nurses (ICN) is calling for submission of late breaking abstracts for concurrent sessions and E-poster presentations at the ICN Congress 2021, Nursing Around the World, which will take place virtually on 2-4 November 2021. The on-line submission system opened today, 28 June, and will close on 16 July 2021.

The call is for late-breaking abstracts that present high impact, groundbreaking, innovative, and newsworthy data, and should contain new information that was not yet known or fully available by the original abstract submission deadline in March. The submission should not be a revision of an abstract submitted in the original submission process.

Howard Catton, ICN Chief Executive Officer said:

“Events around the world are constantly and rapidly changing. These late breaking submissions will allow the most recent findings and developments to be included in the Congress programme so it is as up to date and contemporary as possible. ICN is committed to bringing together nurses and health experts from around the world to exchange information and ideas about the latest research, share experiences and showcase innovations during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Instructions for the submission of abstracts and details on the themes to be addressed can be accessed at www.icncongress2021.org.

Spread over three days, the ICN Congress will be the largest gathering of nurses from across the world in 2021.
