The ruling body of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) has reinforced its call for all governments to confront the nursing workforce crisis and implement the ICN Charter for Change.

Nurses from 126 countries, who were welcomed to the five-day event by ICN’s President Dr Pamela Cipriano, will be attending plenary sessions from prominent global figures and an extensive four-day scientific programme that will enable them to network, share their experiences and further develop their practice for the benefit of patients.

The International Council of Nurses (ICN) has published a new book, The Global Voice of Nursing, A history of the International Council of Nurses from 1899 to 2022, detailing the history of the organisation from its humble beginnings at the end of the 19th Century to its present day role as the global voice of almost 30 million nurses worldwide.
