ICN Dublin City University School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health ICNP User Group

The ICN Dublin City University School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health ICNP User Group is located in North Dublin, Ireland at Dublin City University. The mission of the DCU ICNP User Group is to advance nursing informatics research through STEM and provide leadership to nurses on eHealth and Digital. The centre continues to advance uptake and use of ICNP in practice in Ireland and has established a research cluster for mapping of ICNP terms to SNOMED-CT as required through national nursing services. We have established an interdisciplinary center for eIntegrated Care (CEIC) in 2018 and have a number of funded primary investigators and post doc researchers employed through the center. ICNP is taught through our undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes in the School of Nursing Psychotherapy and Community Health as the preferred reference terminology for nursing in Ireland. Currently, Ireland is in the process of identifying a shared nursing vocabulary through the Office of the Chief Nursing Information Officer and nationally is a member of the SNOMED-CT community. The centre has also established relationships with existing ICNP accreditation centres and continues to collaborate on future research initiatives.
