The International Council of Nurses has published its latest update on the activities of its #NursesforPeace campaign on the ICN website.

The campaign continues to support and fund nurses who are living and working in conflict zones and in areas that have experienced natural disasters.

In the current update there are details of ICN President Dr Pamela Cipriano’s call to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to take firm action to stop the attacks on nurses and other health workers in conflict zones. The update reiterates ICN’s warning against the normalization of such attacks and highlights how ICN’s interventions at the World Health Assembly underscored the fundamental link between health and peace.

The update contains information about how ICN’s #NursesforPeace campaign is providing support for nurses in Ukraine, Sudan, Palestine and Israel, with testimonies from nurses on the ground.

ICN launched the #NursesforPeace campaign to raise funds for nurses working on the frontlines of emergency situations and to draw public attention to the associated threats to public health care systems. To support the #NursesforPeace campaign see here
