Project details and methodology

Acknowledging the significance of these definitions, their development will require extensive consultation and input from many perspectives. The project team will engage key stakeholders, including NNAs, regulatory and educational experts, and non-nursing groups with an interest in nursing. Employing a modified Delphi approach with globally identified experts, the team will conduct conversations with GNLI Alumni, ICN Education Experts Advisory Committee, the NP/APN Network, Student and Early Career Nurses Alliance, and other ICN experts, and use surveys for data collection and feedback. This project will run over the next 12 months, aiming for the new definitions to be ratified at the CNR meeting and celebrated at the ICN Congress in Helsinki in June 2025.
