Dr Ramírez-Pereira is an associate professor in the Department of Nursing at the University of Chile, a specialist in nephrology nursing, and holds a master's degree in community psychology and a doctorate in nursing. She holds a diploma in Primary Health Care, is an alumni of the Global Nursing Leadership Policy Programme of the International Council of Nurses (ICN), has a diploma in Political Strategy for Public Policy from the Institute of Public Affairs of the University of Chile, and is a specialist in Public Care Policies with a Gender Perspective from the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO).
She is a guest lecturer in Masters and Doctoral programmes in disciplines such as Nursing, Public Health and Psychology. She is currently a University Senator in the Senate of the University of Chile and President of the Scientific Committee of the Chilean Society of Dialysis and Transplant Nursing.
Dr Ramirez has extensive experience in direct care, research, teaching, management and public policy development. She has also participated in renal working groups of the Chilean Ministry of Health. Her research interests include public policy, nursing and care, and gender.
