Professor Chia-Chin Lin is currently Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Charity Foundation Professor in Nursing, and Director at HKU School of Nursing. Prior to joining the HKU, Professor Lin served as Dean at College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University between 2011 and 2017.
As a global healthcare educator, researcher, and leader, Professor Lin’s career encompasses the mission of research, education, and practice. Professor Lin’s areas of research expertise include cancer pain management, symptom management, end of life care, and physical activity in cancer and palliative care. She is the author of more than 230 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, and she has received numerous research awards and served as a member of editorial boards of renowned journals. She translates evidence to improve healthcare, implement teaching innovations, and provides leadership to upgrade education, research, and practice.
Professor Lin has been listed among the world's top 2% scientists in Nursing for three consecutive years during 2020 - 2022. She is also an International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame awarded by Sigma Theta Tau International and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Professor Lin received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Taipei Medical University, her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing and Educational Psychology. In addition, she obtained an EMBA from National Taiwan University.
